Garden Club #5 – Awaken the spirits

An exploration of erasure, ritual and memory. The works evoke intimate and collective narratives, reactivate buried traces and awaken what lies dormant beneath the surface of the visible.

This is the fifth instalment of a programme of exhibitions curated by students at the Pavillon Bosio. Based on original curatorial and scenographic proposals, these exhibitions bring together works by students, teachers and a few guests in the Garden room of the Pavillon Bosio.

With the artists: Johanna Bourgin, Kamal Cherkaoui, Mathilde Janson, Mailys Lochowicz, Donia Ouassit, Hatice Pinarbasi, Claude Rosticher, Gabriel-Noé Rosticher, Mathieu Schmitt.

Curatorial team: Louise Chatelain, Mathilde Janson, Florent Mattei, Micha Vanony.

Located on the Rock of Monaco in a prestigious setting, the Bosio Pavillon, École Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques de la Ville de Monaco (E.S.A.P.) is a higher education and research institution under the authority of the City of Monaco. It dispenses courses leading to higher education diplomas with missions to raise awareness of the visual arts among all audiences.

The teaching approach at the École Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques de la Ville de Monaco is unique in that it provides students with training in art and scenography. The curriculum focuses on exploring the reciprocal influences, mirror effects and permutations between the visual arts, the stage and the exhibition space.

The Bosio Pavillon participates in the dissemination of contemporary creation and culture and, through its partnership initiatives, contributes to Monaco’s cultural influence.
