Created in the 1960s and attached to the Exotic Garden, the greenhouses located outside the Garden’s grounds are home to an important heritage and one of the largest collections of cacti and succulent plants in the world.
The Botanical Centre, which is managed by the City of Monaco, was originally located a few dozen metres from the entrance to the Exotic Garden in the direction of Cap d’Ail. In October 2017, it moved to new premises opposite the Garden, whose glass and iron structure was designed by architects Fabrice Notari and Rudy Ricciotti.
