In 2025, the National Archives Preparatory Mission and the Central Archives and Administrative Documentation Service were replaced by the National Archives Department and the Government Archives Service, respectively. The latter is fully integrated into the National Archives Department, the scientific and technical authority for archives of public interest in the Principality. The National Archives are responsible for collecting, preserving, classifying, communicating and promoting part of the heritage archives, in addition to supporting producers and holders of archives, particularly those of public interest.
During this new edition of Heritage Days, the public will enjoy a guided tour of the brand new conservation and work spaces, as well as a presentation of archival documents related to this year’s theme.
